Boosting Youth Basketball: MICHAEL BASKETBALL VENTURES Open on PEI
In a significant boost to youth sports in PEI, MICHAEL BASKETBALL VENTURES, a brand-new basketball training club, has opened its doors in Stratford, promising to offer comprehensive, year-round basketball training services and 1 on 1 customized sessions.
Responding to the community’s need for basketball training, he began organizing basketball training courses in September 2023 and quickly attracted over 70 students, who train with him weekly, leading to the establishment of Michael Basketball Ventures Co. in March 2024. Xie, who has previously built 26 basketball clubs in his hometown Fuzhou, China, impacting over 27,000 students, brings a wealth of experience and a global perspective to the local basketball scene. Michael Basketball Ventures Co. is not just about training young athletes; it’s about instilling a love for basketball. Basketball legends like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant recognized Xie’s commitment to basketball during his students’ visits to U.S. camps. The Michael basketball club welcomes all youths, offering a free one-hour basketball training session to spark interest and develop skills, fulfilling Xie’s dream of fostering basketball talent and passion among the youth of PEI.
